The Lumière

lumièreWhile searching for Green Chartreuse cocktails, I found this from Saveur Magazine… “Developed by Nitehawk Cinema‘s Beverage Director Jen Marshall, was inspired by the Oscar-nominated film Hugo. The magical sophistication of elderflower, citrus, and green chartreuse mirrors Hugo’s and Isabella’s enchanting quest through 1930’s Paris”.  The alcoholic content is about 80% and/or 160 proof – about 2 shots of hard liquor, this is how I made it:

  • 1.5 ounces Gin
  • 1 oz. St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
  • 1 Fresh lime and/or .75 ounce fresh lime juice
  • .75 ounce Green Chartreuse
  • Few dashes of orange bitters
